This week on SpotLight meet a man who's courage and remarkable determination is an inspiration to all that meet him

Eric Drew was in the hospital fighting for his life with a usually terminal cancer when he soon started to receive phone calls -not from family but from bill collectors. He soon learned he had another battle to fight...he discovered his identity was the target of a hospital lab tech who stole his identity -but not his will to fight. Eric fought the system and won, becoming the first person to win a federal criminal conviction under the Health Information Privacy (HIPAA) laws. Eric's story has been featured on ABC News, Dateline NBC, CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, and on the cover of most major news publications in the US.


Eric Drew is founder of the Eric Drew Foundation, a Leukemia Survivor, Umbilical Stem Cell Research Advocate and Nationally Recognized Identity Theft Expert.
